AMS Celebrates Great K-12 Math Blogs

A few days ago, the American Mathematical Society published a blog post about some great math teaching blogs written by K-12 teachers. At the top of the list was Fawn Nguyen’s blog, Finding Ways to Nguyen Kids Over. Ms. Nguyen, who teaches in Thousand Oaks, CA, is also one of the co-founders of the Thousand Oaks MTC!

The AMS post highlights Ms. Nguyen’s Visual Patterns catalog, “a whole bank of visual patterns that help middle schoolers connect algebraic expressions and geometric patterns.” It also praises her blog for being “full of ideas that could be used in both college and K-12 classrooms.”

Congratulations to Ms. Nguyen! We’re proud to see you recognized as a leader in the math teaching community.
